Vet Prompter Diagnostics for Roo the Chow Chow:
Oh man, sounds like your Chow Chow, Roo, is having a bit of a rough time. Now, I’m no vet, but I can try to give you a bit of a heads-up on what might be going on.
The aloof behavior could be a sign of stress or anxiety. Dogs can get anxious just like humans, and it can make them act a bit off. Maybe there’s been a change in his environment or routine that’s got him feeling out of sorts.
As for the tear duct blockage, it’s pretty common in dogs with squished faces or narrow tear ducts. It’s often called ‘dry eye’ or Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca. Basically, it means that Roo’s eyes aren’t producing enough tears, or the tears are evaporating too quickly. This can lead to a blockage and cause his eyes to look a bit red and irritated.
But remember, I’m just guessing here. It’s really important to get Roo checked out by a vet. They’ll be able to give you a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.
